designed to spark curiosity and creativity.
Our Role Play Village – the perfect place for children who are on the move
Mini Donington has been thoughtfully designed for children from their first steps up to six years old. Every play setting, toy and costume has been chosen with care to encourage little ones to explore the world around them through imagination. Children can step into familiar roles inspired by everyday life in Castle Donington from running a shop or cooking in the café to helping others on the construction site or caring for others as a vet or a doctor. Role play isn’t just fun – it’s a powerful way for children to learn. Through pretending, they develop language, problem-solving skills, independence and confidence. The practise sharing and taking turns, explore emotions and learn how the world works by copying what they see in their community. In our village, children lead their own play at their own pace, discovering new interests and skills every time they visit.
Our Baby Area — the perfect place for non-walkers
At mini Donington, our youngest visitors can play in our Spital Park area. This area has been designed for babies who are beginning to move and learning to walk, we’ve created a calm and thoughtfully designed baby area. This cosy space allows babies to roll, crawl, reach, pull up and explore safely at their own pace, surrounded by soft textures, sensory toys and gentle play features. It’s the ideal environment for developing early movement skills, curiosity and confidence. There is plenty of room for parents and carers to sit close, support their little ones and enjoy those special first milestones together.
